First, Congrats on your first jam!!
I need to address this first, but I LOVED the visuals!! The pixel art (Especially the start scene planets), the effects and just the overall atmosphere were really well made!
For the gameplay, I was kinda confused where to go, wherever i went, the arrows would show up and the playable area felt a bit small.
Especially compared to the sheer quantity of astroids!
Speaking of astroids (and the drops) it is REALLY commendable as to how you managed to have SOOO much stuff on the screen at the same time without a single bit of lag. I legit did not face any lag at all. I dont know what you did but Id say you handled all those objects very efficiently!
Returning to the gameplay, the game despite throwing large amounts of astroids on you felt too easy. The drops were too overpowered and unless I TRIED, it was kinda hard to die..
It was also kinda repetitive. Like just hordes of astroids spammed on you surrounding you
Also when you get hit like 10 times at the same time, that camera shake goes WAYY TOO HARD, like it becomes impossible to even see. When you get hit once or even twice, the shake is really good. But it like multiplies too much when hit alot. So Id suggest to tone it down just a bit
I usually have my volume very low so maybe its different for me but I didnt really face the loud SFX problem that other ppl got, it was really fine for me
Overall, I love the art and visuals of the game, also like the Sfx! The astroids get too overwhelming but are never enough to actually kill you. The drops are too powerful. Also the camera shake on dmg by too many enemies can feel overwhelming.
With a bit of tweaking, this can be quite a solid game!
And congrats again with your first jam! You really outdid yourself. This is a really really great starting point :D
