Yay I finally managed to start to work.

The visuals and the arts definitely brings to mind Undertale immediately. The mechanics are also quite creative.

This may also be a small thing but I think it's important to point out for a game with a lot of texts like yours. For some reason, if I press Space after I click a dialogue choice, but before the line of text finishes displaying, I could skip it, but just for that line. No other lines can be skipped. This is mostly fine for such a small game.

However, I think the ability to finishes text scrolling immediately and being able to skip them (especially if you expect players to re-reading a large chunk of them often) is a very crucial option for a narrative based game, so I hope you would implement it fully in the future.
