I actually originally forced players into the shop to give their weapons back, but I was struggling to balance rental prices properly within the jam timeframe so gave players an easy out. If I ever return to the game for a full version, I'd love to have a more impactful rental mechanic, maybe in some kind of "hard mode". -Abbie
