The reason is simple: itch.io is doing this because they care more about money than about game developers. They’d rather keep a few banks happy—banks that would otherwise restrict payment options for players—than support the very developers who create the games those players are paying for. itch.io is an absolute disgrace. If the whole site got demonetized, and had to shut down because they can’t cover hosting costs, we would be in a worse position. At least now we have some time to fight it.

also pls make sure to take care of urself. drink some water and eat something if u can. u deserve to decompress after such a stressful time. you work so hard and it shows in the quality of your work!
