There is another website that may be able to host one time purchases.

Nutaku is a western h-game publishing company,

that also runs a website that hosts games that they themselves

did not publish.

The thing is, the company Nutaku sees themselves like steam, however, they are more like the google playstore, a lot of the popular games on that website are free gacha games with ai generated art, however it isn't too uncommen for normal h-games to be sold on the website.

Since the website only offers 18+ games and is pretty much only present in the western market. They will have to fight payment processors in court should they try to force them to ban 18+ content

Atleast that is what i know about them

Nutaku is on our list of potential websites we're going see about selling Uni on once it's completed.

For sites like that, that can reach a larger new audience I'd like the game to be as complete as possible for their first time experience. That's why our Steam page was going to be the public demo of the game and not the early access release version of the game.

Personally, I don't like Early Access for games, and if I could I'd release our games in a fully completed state from the get go with a demo beforehand. However, for independent game development it's just about the only way to get a game off the ground and running.

Your first experience with a game will always stick with you no matter how much it changes later on. Take No Mans Sky or Cyberpunk for example, games that released in horrible states and are STILL remembered for how horribly they launched.

Granted Cyberpunk still has it's issues that go beyond bugs, glitches, and poor QA, but that's a topic not meant for our itch comment section. XD

I completely agree with the fact that you want to release the game when its done on those websites, however given the circumstances, you may not have a choice.
For me it's fine if an Indie game releases into early access and the devs keep working on the game, its just that AAA Studios should not release their games in early access

Puros factos. Espero que les vaya bien ahora y en adelante y que la censura de ciertos sitios como itch y Steam no les afecte.
