Sorry if I am jumble up the timeline here.
As was explained in leafo’s post here, it was “comply or die!” at the time.
And as was also pointed out there: “Once their reviewing process is complete, the dicks and pussies will return - as long as the respective artists fulfill the new compliance measures.” (This might not have been the exact phrasing. I’m taking some creative liberties here. ;3 )
That's not actually what's happening. They are putting it all as unlisted and shadow banning it to remove it from the site. I doubt that there would any way or reason that they'd have to keep any adult content here unless we do something about it. Hoping that they only target the problematic content and leave everything alone is a naive point of view seeing as the goal is the neuter all adult content.
The "compliance measures" is censorship, that IS the problem being raised here. They are kowtowing to fascism, and attacking LGBTQIA+ content, and sexuality generally. This is an evil move in response to an evil move. To fight fascism, you never concede to their demands. Concession will never appease fascists, only teach them they can get away with their violence and hatred. They will then try more violence and hatred. It will never stop until everyone who isn't inside their politically advantageous in-group at the time is dead.
