Yes - I'm new to game jams!

How does your game fit the theme?
My game explores a entrepreneur getting started by building his/her first zoo. It also shows the journey of me, a young 13 year old game developer getting started by making one of my first games and entering my first game jam.[More info in game description] [Please Read tutorial in game description]

Really impressive for a jam game albeit pretty rough on the edges. Still congrats on the effort you made

This is amazing and ambitious for a first jam! I had so much fun trying to min/max things and the little animal sprites were sooo cute (even though none of them stayed in their pens, lol). Really creative and fun game, my only critique right now would be that the feeding goes a bit slow. Maybe let the staff do some of it, or make it quicker to select and feed the animals.  Otherwise, amazing job, and congrats on your first jam!

Are you seriously 13? If so, this was quite an accomplishment. Few points of feed back.
Why hire staff but I still have to feed the animals? Can't I delegate some zookeepers for feeding?

Also, is there a correlation between ticket price and attendance? I think in the real world, it would be inversely proportional, but I haven't tested it out too much.

Finally, the move speed of placement in the map screen could probably be slowed down a tad. The button to finish is also tied to movement, so watch that.

Overall, fun little game, I had fun trying to min max it. At 13 and this is your first effort, you should be very proud of this work. Please keep it up and some day we will see you at the top of the steam charts I'm sure.

the feeding of the animals feels needlessly tedious having to spam left click multiple times for each animal enclosure. It kinda negate alot of the want to get more money. I do like the creativity

For a first game jam game this is really cool to see!

I know you said the known bug was the animals moving randomly but I laughed at all the animals bouncing around out of their pens.

The advance week features reminded me of some old sim games that I used to love to play and was really nice. I'd love to see you add more features, specific animal needs, etc

Some feedback would be it's quite slow to walk around your zoo, especially when it gets larger. I quite liked seeing everything when I was placing a new enclosure so it would be cool to be able to go to this view and see everything at once. Also some (optional?) snapping would be really nice when placing enclosures.

Great job!
