Yeah will absolutely credit that the resource system was mainly you. Let’s just see if I ever get to make it with the shit going down with itch. If I get taken down, it’s been a joy making games and reading your thoughts on them. Thanks so much for the support!
I mean, I don't know everything about it either. I think a lot of people are just getting caught up in things. A lot of the creators I follow have done things to address the issue, one even pulling back from Itch permanently due to previous concerns. So, I totally get why you'd feel the need to jump the gun on that.
Yeah I don’t think anyone does right now. But fuck it, made it public again already. Also hoping I’d get a pass since my stuff is free and I haven’t set up the payment at all, since the post they made says that in the future you’d have to comply to your chosen payment services TOS. Really hope this causes enough backlash but I doubt it. Hard to focus on any project right now without knowing what is and isn’t too much, like is something like hypnosis gonna be off limits? Tentacles? Welp, itch did feel like too good to be true.
Aah hehe. Just generally it has been such a positive experience, great community, easy to use, free, fair rules. Of course something like this has to happen. Shame, I really like my more extreme stuff, would hate to water stuff down but I do wanna keep making games. I just hope at least the new rules would be crystal clear and comprehensive. But tbh drawing just vanilla boning gets a bit boring, well at least they aren’t banning TF and furry yet.
If you want to check out an alternative, I did see this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/lewdgames/comments/1m9a3ga/the_itchio_situation_is_a_wa...
I haven't looked into it at all to see if it's actually a good platform, but it does seem promising, and a good backup plan in case Itch does toss you off, since it's a closer analogue to Itch than Newgrounds (There's no payment option or ability to have downloadable versions on NG)
