Aaw dang, well glad you like the art at least! Yeah it’s a memorizer with just sound cues, definitely not everyone’s cup of tea. The rings are a shader, and I’m not very familiar with shaders so no idea if I could even make them represent the notes, would have to go with a differend approach. Tried to reinvent the wheel with this one, regular rhythm game would have probably been way more approachable. If I ever make another rhythm game, it will probably have visual cues.

Apon is made for cuddles, so I’m sure he wouldn’t mind hehe

Oh crap yeah, forgot about that. Like if you complete one character, the next one will be over super fast with all the upgrades. Might need to rethink the progression completely. I’m not sure if I like the idea that one customer is inherently harder, but might be the only way to balance it out.

Hmm tying the character to an item could work, maybe you don’t upgrade the kiln, but the item. That would somewhat reset the progression when switching to a new character. And I like the second idea too.

Yeah, one is Quest of The Holy Cage, been working on that on and off. Really need to finish that, people have been waiting for so long for a patch, but I keep getting distracted by new stuff ahah. The other is a sequel to Closest Inhabited Planet, got an itch to try a bigger 3D project so I’ve been messing around in Unreal. It’s a large project though, gonna work on it on and off, but got really into the 3D stuff so have been stuck on it for a while. Oh and started doing commissions, so kinda got my hands full at the moment.

Got 3 comms in queue at the moment, and moving really slow, so it might take a bit to get to yours. Alternating with comms and game dev stuff, probably getting back to comms soon. Sorry I haven’t announced comms being open, just starting out and don’t want to book too many people, no idea how well I can handle them so just took some from a couple of old friends and Drako, who also asked about it here on itch.

Ooh I like the mannequin, though I don’t think that’ll be a 3D object, making 3D clothes is a still a bit new to me. Maybe some kind of new window before the voodoo session where you can pick the clothes.

Yeah, just have a couple of projects in the works currently, dunno when I’ll get back to this. And probably focusing on a new character first.

Well I have some art of the dragon lady. And some really rough sketches of some other customers, though none of them really insipred me. So might end up designing a brand new one. I was thinking that while I add more characters, they’d be instantly available. Just a new personal item appearing in the menu. If I ever end up with a lot of characters, maybe some more thought out system would be in order.

Aaw of course! Yeah the rotation is a bit wonky, but I don’t really know how to improve it. Yeah the physics are there to just spice it up, didn’t try to go for realistic.

Aaw crap ahah, was kinda out of it when I released. Yeah, lock of hair, weird that you are the first to mention it ahah. English isn’t my mother tongue, bound to make some mistakes. Yeah haven’t looked into this at all after the release, no idea how to fix the font, might need to use a different one, shame, I really like this one.

Hmm yeah, not right away on board with the call thing, but some way to re-dress her would be great. Other outfits sound great though, some more art to make, but pretty simple code-wise.

Yeah, didn’t want it to take too long since the current gameplay is so monotonous, will rebalance when new items/characters are added. I think I kinda made a “desensitization” system already, it just doesn’t really show since you only have the one character. If I remember correctly, the characters sensitivity increases with time passing even in the shop.

Yeah, the plan was for upgrades for the kiln you burn the items in, making everything more potent, but got lazy and didn’t get it done for this release, but item for just the touch sounds great too.

Aaw yeah, we talked about the picture in picture focusing on bits and different views, but again got lazy and left it out. Face focus sounds great.

Nice ideas. But I think I’d prefer the ending to actually happen, I think it’s hotter than dreams. Though it would work with the idea that the goo affects your mind, hmm. I did think about something similar to the getting out the pod with ripped suit, but I kinda don’t like drawing the same body/character twice, is why I never got into making comics, I stress too much about getting the characters look the same. I do get last point, the almost body suit should probably be more risque than the clothing damage one. I’ll see what I whip out if I ever come back to this.

Aaw yeah that’s intentional. When the game loads, the player model flips out and the wigglebones are all over the place. Couldn’t find a fix so put the start sequence there to cover that up untill the bones calm down. I guess I could have chose not to, and have people see the jank, but again, didn’t mean the game to be played rapid fire, not making a proper ending for the no hit run and all. In hindsight I guess I could have made the player global and just move it to the right spot on reset, but too much effort for such a small improvement.

Great ideas, more endings would be fun. But I don’t think I’ll be expanding this for now, got other projects in the oven. And I’m not really sure what the endings would be, maybe the player looking at their feminized body in the mirror for the partial suit and keep the current one as the clothing damage one. Yeah, don’t think a full ending for the no hit run is a good idea, at least with the current level design.

Yeah, one if you get fully covered by the suit, one if not. Then there’s one if you don’t get hit once, but it’s just a low effort congratz message so I don’t even mention about it in the description. Just put it there if someone happens to try it.

Hmm, there’s supposed to be some intentional fuckery with the mouse when you get far enough in the game. But the code for it is indeed super jank so I wouldn’t wonder if it doesn’t work on some systems. I take it you’re not talking about the intentional mouse drift? Glad you like the concept though!

Hehee yeah that works, I think people don’t check SubscribeStar that often. I guess I should disclose that I post new art first in SS, just didn’t want to push SS that hard. I want to keep doing it this way though, to have some reason to join SS.

Hehee yeah, figured the instant orgasm was a fun twist on a clicker. Though putting the pin to the nail hole wasn’t intended, but I guess it’s a fun little quirk if you explore and find it out. And I think people did mention that going from 15 to 30, where you were supposed to get the second nail took a bit too long.

Hehee yeah so glad Rexizor pitched the idea, my original idea was pretty dumb compared to this. Yeah the plan was to add more people and items, just been doing other stuff, hopefully some day.

Hehee glad to hear. Yeah there’s a lot of reports on getting stuck, haven’t looked into it, figured I’d just try again in the sequel. Framerate seems plausible.

Oh yeah don’t get me wrong I absolutely love Godot, but I can’t even get ragdolls to work properly and joints haven’t even been implemented completely. The project I would love to do pretty much requires those. I could make them by hand with a lot of work and knowledge, but I just don’t have skills and patience for that, hence the pivot to other engines. I’ve made some 3D prototypes in both Unreal and Unity back in the day, and S&Box seems a lot more like those in 3D and physics cababilites. I really hope I can make all my games in Godot some day, but it needs some more time in the oven for me the to work in 3D comfortably. I think I’ve given Godot a fair chanse, with multiple prototypes testing this stuff and actual implementation in a couple of games. Probably just a skill issue, but I recognize when I’m out of my water. Also, I love Valve and Source, would love to work in their engine, even if it is trough S&Box front-end.

Aah, haven’t gotten back working on the patch yet. After the last jam I’ve just been taking a short break and messing around with S&Box a bit. The NSFW situation with that engine is still a bit murky, releasing into their platform is a no no but someone said that stand-alone releases could be ok. I’d love to have an engine for larger 3D projects other than Unreal and Unity. But I think my next upload will be this patch, sorry it’s been taking for ages, not a big patcher it seems.

Hehee I love to talk about this stuff, so happy people are interested in the lore, even when I haven’t thought it out completely. Aaw yeah Hypnothick is jank as fuck, but AlienHypnoShooter I think I tried to optimize to some extent. Shame they all run so bad.

Hmm, yeah it could be a prototype, but I kinda have this idea that the alien species behind all this is straight up overpowered. All of the transformations in the other games are in one form or another, feminization, so the effects of the goo are just beneficial for any further usage of the organism. The aliens also have this psychic power thing going on, with hypnosis and stuff. Maybe the effects of the goo make the subjects more susceptible for their psychich powers. Maybe if someone infected by the goo comes in certain range of one these aliens, their minds are linked. Without the alien presence all they can think of is sex, but with an alien around, they only wish to serve them. And I think the aliens would be immune to the goo, or maybe they use it recreationally, maybe it works just as an apphrodisiac and/or a sex toy.

About the enviroment. Maybe the goo doesn’t spread indefinitely, maybe a missile/bomb holds this kind of compressed goo. An explosion would spread the goo all around, and this goo would uncompress and spread to a limit. Maybe a bomb started leaking in the cargo of this game’s ship and it spread fast. The planet wouldn’t end up as completely covered in goo this way. I think the aliens are more interested in the organisms rather than the planet. They’d come collect some amount of cattle for their fleet and leave the planet alone. So bombing a planet with this goo would produce some amount of these transformed monsters who start to convert the population. But I think I need to rethink the transformation a bit. The aim of the aliens wouldn’t be to destroy the planet or completely transform everyone, but put the planet in an endless fight against the monsters so they have planet producing cattle endlessly.

So, the goo transforms you to a monster, and any contact with the goo makes you addicted to it and look it out. The monsters impregnate and produce more smaller monsters, but they also feminize their targets. Maybe this feminization isn’t so encumbering, but more of a brainwash, they wish to help the monsters in any way. Forming a sort of cult following the aliens. The ones transformed by the monsters would be chosen ones, who would ascend to serve their true purpose once the aliens arrive. Maybe they also choose some in their ranks to go trough the full goo transformation, making a new monster.

Oh damn an RTS game would be amazing. Though I’m not sure how you’d make the lewd stuff work, small models/sprites fucking in top down perspective isn’t that enticing. But I do remember back when I played Dawn of War, I zoomed in to watch the carnage from time to time, so could work. But yeah, haven’t made an RTS game ever, and they seem very complex. But I might give one a shot some day. Your queen idea reminded me of Hive Commando by Cloudbird, one of my favourite submission to the Strawberry Jam 10.

You say you lack the skills, in which fields? Art, coding? Honestly I’d say, just download Godot and start messing around with the help of some tutorials. Maybe start with a simpler project, but if your dream is an RTS game, maybe start prototyping that, passion for a project goes a long way. Sorry if you already have some experience, though if you already have some projects under you belt my advice is pretty much the same, just start making it ahah. In my opinion you learn game dev best by just doing it, theory helps, but you kinda have to get your hands dirty asap. Create jank, create anything, the next project will be better. Really hope you can make the game too, creating something and people actually playing it feels amazing. Takes a lot of time and pulled hairs but I think it’s worth it. One thing though, I’d probably start with 2D, 3D in Godot at least is still pretty bad.

Yeah I think I should have added some text to the side panel when you get hit, and a distinct noise, currently it’s just the same slopping sound the goo make. But not sure what kind of sound would fit.

Aah don’t feel bad, it wasn’t designed with the no-hit run in mind. While there isn’t other random elements other than the placement and direction of the foreground boxes, the movement of the character is so hard to control with the spin being so difficult to predict. It’s why I didn’t make a proper ending for it, didn’t want people to feel they are missing something important and pull their hair out trying to control the jank. But really glad it’s fun enough for you to give the no-hit a shot! Maybe I should rebalance it a bit more to make the no-hit a bit more feasible and give it a proper ending, maybe open up the lore I thought out in the other comment.

Glad you think so! Not very familiar with speedrun culture, but I’m not sure if people like too much randomness when speedrunning ahah. But it does feel pretty fun to try and beat it as fast as possible. Had an idea to bind the fight back to the space key, to make it more similiar to playing on a phone where you can use both thumbs. Maybe I’ll add that when the jam is over, and show your time if you make a perfect run.

Thanks so much! Dunno about expanding much, the story is pretty much done. But I did have the idea of different kind’s of items at one point, something exploding for example, so you’d have a chance to kill the goo. And glad you liked the music, really basic but I think it fits. Pretty rarely get compliments on the sound stuff, but if the sound is missing you get to hear about it ahah.

Yeah, the game is probably quite resource hungry, all of the boxes spawn when the game loads and the wall slimes update their collision each frame and all kinds of other not efficient shit is happening. Only optimizations I bothered with were the goo balls and their shader. It was running fine on my pc and phone so I didn’t really bother optimizing further. Though I can’t remember if I tested the final build on my phone, need to do that later.

Aaw yeah a minimap would be cool, don’t know if I’ll update this much though, and don’t think I’ve ever made a minimap.

These are really interesting questions, thanks for asking! Latex/dronification isn’t my biggest kink, but I’m always looking to try some new things and I felt it fit pretty well the goo theme. I don’t have much lore thought out, but hey, you’re helping me to flesh it out!

So I’m thinking the goo is an alien weapon, maybe tying in with the aliens in my other games Hypnothick and AlienHypnoShooter. Maybe this game takes place a lot earlier or later of those games. They’ve somehow manufactored this kind of organism. This cargo ship was transporting a sample of it for some reason and it broke loose in the cargo hold (the maze with loads of goo balls and boxes). I guess the goo spreads and multiplies fast, considering the state of the ship. The goo broke the ship’s gravity control and the main character decides to initiate self destruct.

Any contact with the goo has permanent effects, feminizing, increasing sensitivity and making you super horny, I guess to disable soldiers. But it can encase it’s victims in a cocoon with enough exposure, taking control of their mind. The goo stop attacking the player once the dronification is complete, and the player has a new objective in mind, to find an inhabited planet and spread the organism further. The cocoon first just feminizes the victim faster, but its main goal is to transform the victim further. Transforming in to the final form takes some time, so the goo first ensures the victim is properly encumbered, if somehow they happened to get rid of the cocoon. If that were to happen after the full feminization, the freed victim would be a mess, hyper sensitive, mind cabable of only thinking sex. In the “good” ending, some time has passed and the exposure has feminizied them to some degree with increased sensitivity and lust.

The transform ending is a bit of a sequel bait. Haven’t thought of it trough, but thinking the resulting monster would be very powerful. The monster would fuck and impregnate people, resulting in more monsters, either same kind or maybe a new type, depending on the host, maybe smaller weak ones. The cocoon is a slow transformation, but the pregnancies are fast. Maybe the monster’s fluids work like the goo, feminizing and as an apphrodisiac, but not sentient and incabable of the cocoon thing. Maybe some kind of action/stealth game, maybe you can control a swarm of the monsters you helped to concieve.

That’s what I think I have so far. But mainly things happened because I found em hot ahah. Feminization, small dicks, muscle monsters with big dicks. My first idea was clothes dissolving and feminizing goo, but talked with a friend and we came up with the living goo/latex suit, so it was a combination of these things. Then I had to come up with an ending, and I really like transformations too. First the ending was supposed to be just a black tentacle from the escape pod, grabbing a rescue personel. And the full transformation a tentacle goo/latex suit. But I like big honking creatures and more organic transformations so ended up with the cocoon idea. Oh and the black dildo in “good” end is just a dildo, in hindsight, should have colored it pink or something. Or hey, maybe he chose a black one because it reminds of the black goo, can’t get it out his head, maybe the goo affected his mind more than the increased lust. Maybe the victims get hopelessly hooked on the goo, looking it out. Maybe some rich goo survivor ordered a sample and that’s why it’s in the cargo.

Whew, that was fun to think about hehe. Thanks again for asking. Did I answer your questions? Got more questions or ideas? I’d love to hear, no promises they’ll get implemented but always love to hear new ideas.

I wanted the first ending for everyone to be the full transformation one so I kinda overtuned the difficulty. TOUGH but beatable I think is a pretty sweet spot.

Aah nice job! Sure, I can make a win and linux build. Mainly just laziness, but I’m down for a downloadable build when someone asks. Not too many people download and I’m not sure if a game is a hit or not, so I tend to do a web release first.

Not sure if itch allows me to upload while the jam is going on but I’ll upload when I can. Also, on your first run, did you get the full transformation ending? Just gauging if the difficulty is right, I’d like everyones first run to be the full transformation.

Hehee <3 Yeah there’s one if you don’t get hit at all, but it’s just a congratz message and old art. Figured there should be a little something for someone trying a perfect run. But the message is a bit off, the old version I had no idea if it was even possible to no hit run so the message refers to that. The new version I beat once with no hits.

Aaw yeah, wanted the hallway to feel tense. Since it’s the last part, you might be pretty close to full transform. But it did kinda end up being too long, as you said it’s a bit boring to go so slow.

The start of the maze I just dash past the goo to the right, and then over them to the left, dunno, haven’t failed it many times with my testing.

Aaw yeah that sounds great, though a bit more work than just having some secret spot to click on or other specific input. But I could see a password system working on like a multilevel platformer game for level select too, to have the system serve another purpose.

Hehee yeah, I added info about the endings to the description. Ooh damn, so glad it’s fun, was a bit worried it might be too jank, but I’ve always liked physics based games too.

Funny thing about the cargo room is that I designed it to be hardest part of the game, but there are so many boxes around that for me at least it ended up being the easiest part, in the original release at least. But it might be because I know the layout so well. Maybe it is the hardest part for a new player, in which case it all worked out in the end ahah.

Aaw yeah I think Godot can handle that, though I’m not sure about if you mean like unlocking the gallery and after reloading the page it’s still unlocked. Haven’t experiemented with saving like that, but in Hypnothick I showed how to unlock a cheat mode in the ending, I think that’s a pretty good roundabout way to implement that kind of function. I’ll keep this in mind if I make a tougher game again and maybe add a gallery to this one.

Awesome! There’s actually just the 2 endings, one for full transformation and one for everything else. There’s a secret ending if you make a no hit run, but it’s just the banner art in full resolution and a congratz message, not missing anything by not getting that. Yeah, left the maze pretty much intact since I didn’t have a problem clearing it with no hits. It’s supposed to the cargo room and origin of the infection, so I’d like there to be loads of goo and boxes. And yeah the zigzag could be a bit shorter, really didn’t give it that much thought. But glad the zigzag feels fairer, the change to the spawnrate was a pretty small one, but apparently made a real difference. Glad you gave it another shot, and that it’s clearable now.
