I like the idea of this game, like others have said it needs a little polishing up but it is a great start!  Just listing some thing on top of my head. Visual indicator / some effect when hitting a enemy ( for example the enemy flashes red, and gets pushed back a little bit by your hit). UI and menu system so you can see stats, pause, restart etc. Some clear progression. As now i could just run around anywhere through the caps of some furniture. You might wan to start the player in an area where there is maybe a small room with one enemy so the player can get familiar with the movement of the character and try the combat system. Then you could slowly introduce more / harder enemies. For example you game takes place at an office, so you could make it so the player has to clear one floor at a time, and then progress into a new floor with a checkpoint between floors.

But anyways this is a great start for making games, keep it up, and your skills will evolve!

I really appreciate your positive feedback indie lemon. I will surely incorporate the features listed by you and I agree the game is rough. I will polish the game after the gamejam. I have the idea of giving a small tutorial just like super mario bros. For future updates I will add more enemies with a pattern to follow the player inspired from PacMan. I hope to add multiple weapons and a back story as well. This game is going to be the start of my gaming universe and currently I am writing the story for it, which I might continue in further game jams if the theme allows. Thanks again and I will surely upgrade my skills.
