This sounds like what would happen if you hadn't set up the sprite sheet grid correctly.

Just in case it's that:

If you click the small "movie clip" icon next to the sprite box, you should see the grid settings, where you need to tell RahiTuber how many rows and columns are in your grid.  (If it's all in a line, then it's probably just as many columns as frames, and just one row).

If not, feel free to contact me through discord where you can send me a screen recording to show me what's up!

I'm fairly sure I have the grid settings correct unless it has to do with the frame count as well though playing with that didn't seem to help. The frame size does seem to change each time I make an adjustment.

I went ahead and sent a friend request on discord (should show me as HaplessTess), thanks for all your efforts on this program and helping people!

I just ran into this and I now know my problem was caused by mismatched sprite sheet sizes. I got around it by setting up two mouth layers, one for open and one for closed (this let me line up the mismatched animated sprites) and an empty transparent png to switch to on each layer for the appropriate talking/non talking state. It's my first time using Rahituber and so far I really like the results I'm getting!

with the latest update you can now use the new offset setting to make them both line up on the same layer ^^

Awesome! I'll check and make sure I've got the latest version.

Mystery solved, I've been updating regularly on itch launcher but then running the version I first downloaded and had installed to a different folder (which wasn't updating) ... OOPS

Ah! that would explain it 😅
