Yes, you're right, the green goo probably got the least attention.
The texture is made of splat and circle sprites in green, with lighting and a sphere collider for damage. Sometimes it's too big, sometimes too small.
I'm still experimenting with the camera. I attached it to a circle that always targets the furthest point, but if you go too far back, you can see that the next level hasn't been dynamically loaded yet, which would spoil the next stage while running around.
What was your record? :3

Ah I see, maybe you could load 1 level in advance so that you have more freedom with regards to camera placement?

I don't remember exactly but I think it was 15-20 somewhere? The jump to the right usually screwed me ^^
