What I might do is have the protagonist weight gain be an optional feature & when turned off it would play as it does now. Gender select might be mandatory though as it will change how some of the dialogue/scenes play out.
Good concept to have some things optional (also pregnancy).Gender select for the player character is a nice addition.
Also when there is player character weight gain there has to be weight loss.
