This looks sick! The umbrella animations and retro style are pulled off so well.
Like Taco and riks said, that first room is tough. Taking on two tanks while you're still figuring things out is brutal.
A short warm-up area with some grunts would be a nice change of pace. I'd definitely play more if you put out an update like that

Awesome update, happy to hear you caught the balancing issue. I got so much further this time and fought a couple more bosses! And for one more bit of feedback, I love the ULTRAKILL style parrying, but most times I try to parry, I can't because my shooting animation hasn't ended yet. It'd be cool to animation cancel your shots with a parry!
