Thanks for playing!! My email is: shawnorion07@gmail.com

Thank you so much amit, I'm super happy with what I made. too. It really makes my day to hear you had so much fun building that base for your villagers :')

OMG it sounds the Wiki AI helped so much. Yeah, explaining the gameplay to the Wiki AI in detail was actually sooo worth it. I have a feeling that in-game AI assistants are DEFINITELY going to be a thing!

Thanks, making a colony sim in a few weeks ended up being a lot harder than I had originally thought, haha. And yeah, I love when the villagers start shit talking each other lmao. What’s been your favorite thing they’ve said so far?

Haha yeah, I definitely pulled some crazy hours to get this together. I just really wanted to get my own AI twist on Rimworld out there.

I'm curious, what did you end up using the Wiki AI for in game? The idea actually came from me playing Rimworld for the first time, totally lost, and just spamming ChatGPT for advice xD

Love this! It's more ambitious than escape protocol, and that's saying something. You really polished the art and AI characters. I'd say you knocked it out of the park!

Really love the PSX look and the trailer sold the vibe right away. Took me a loooong time to figure out I had to copy the recipe into chat with Nathan. At first I put the recipe into the mixing machines, but that turned out to be a waste of time, lol.

An in-game tutorial pop-up would make the steps much clearer. Atmosphere is super cool though, great work!

Easily my favorite AI interrogator game so far. The props to scare suspects were fun to use, and the voice acting felt like it fit well. Art style’s cool too. Also, trimming the front-loaded text for case generation would get players into the action quicker. Great job!

Really liked the art style and funny poses after you approve or deny someone. I think it's a solid project for just getting started with the tech!

I'm super happy you love being the streamer in my game <3

Yeah, adding a way to change your username makes lots of sense, I'll look into that feature once i finish another game project :3

Ah, that sounds frustrating! Thanks for the detailed steps you took. The "Turn on Player2 AI" button should open up the Player2 website, so you can turn on the AI in-game without running their app. It's one of the only games in this contest that uses that new Player2 feature.

I just tested the process myself and it worked! I'll show you pictures.

Could you try again and see if clicking the "Turn on Player2 API" opens up the player2 website like you saw in the screenshots above?

I think you'll love the streaming vibes in this game, once you can play it!

PS: updated itch description to note that running the player2 app is no longer needed

Sounds good, contact me today at shawnorion07@gmail.com

yeah, honestly the self driving car totally catches you off guard at first. i just added this popup so that moment makes more sense for other players.

thanks for the feedback!

Nice update, looks great!

fixed bugs to make driving feel more smooth and improve performance

Very nice job on the visuals and sounds! Big fan of AI characters handling most of the menu's for you, too.

I'm having trouble with the AI, they usually take 20 seconds+ to respond and I usually just walk away thinking they are broken. I think Player2 might be having a slow day, so i'll check back in later to explore more!

Will do!

Yeah, I’ve noticed Player2 AI’s been taking a long time to respond today too. The car’s meant to drive itself once you’ve got someone onboard so you can keep chatting. Do you mean it kept driving even after they got out? If so, that’s a major bug I need to fix!

Yes, it happened when I launched the game. Here's the screenshots you asked for, I'm using a chrome browser at 100% zoom when the bug happened

Thanks for the heads up about the lag. This is coded in Javascript - so it's not optimized at all, haha. I just did some bug fixing and I'm getting twice as many frames per second now. You can see it's running at ~120 FPS on my laptop. Could you try again and let me know how it feels on your end?

yeah the new response worked when i sent another message

Gotcha, thanks for pointing me to the PC build. Works much better!

haha, so glad the ai and ui felt so real! thanks a ton for playing :)

Looks like a trippy game. Didn't see much of it tho. I got stuck at the start. Tried to say something near the boulder but clicking the talk button wouldn't send my message.

Is there a way around that so I can explore more?

Nice story intro. And the dialogue had me laughing. It sucks you didn't have much time to work on the ritual side of things. Player2 team said they're going to do another jam like this soon, keep an eye out for that!

Nice prototype, I love games that adapt the dungeon difficulty while you play. Totally missing sound effects though. Some basic audio for combat would add a ton. I usually just toss in placeholder sounds from freesound.org while building so I don’t forget. Keep going with this one!

I’ve seen dozens of AI character games. But never one where a fully animated 3D waifu reacts to what I say in real time. That's what makes this feel like a glimpse into the future, haha

The UI looks super polished and fits the space theme really well. I'd love to see combat or resource management between the chats, too.

Got the same error as hobscure, and his tip to zip the whole export is right. You can reupload by editing your itch page.

This is a nice looking builder game! The tutorial and core gameplay feel polished, too. Only issue I hit was the Village AI stopped responding after the first reply. Timed out before TTS finished.

I also ran into performance problems when torturing multiple characters. The game froze for several seconds and showed a windows loading indicator, then the messages popped up afterward. Torture mechanic was the only thing that caused that bug for me

Amazing, this how you do an AI-powered murder mystery! The story is so well thought out, it takes real detective work to put the clues together. And I love how one conversation lets you talk to new people whose name were brought up.

Sure thing, I'm glad you got those controls in the itch page. Also, thumbnails make a BIG difference. I highly recommend you replace the current one with a screenshot from the game (it's totally fine to do this after submitting in a jam). A good snapshot of the game will hook a lot more people into playing!

This totally reminded me of high school Spanish class, haha. Lowkey scary when the teacher starts making rounds.

Teaming up with an AI sidekick is a great change to the usual top down shooter combat, I was into it right away. Game crashed a couple times for me though. Once after leaving the sound settings, and again after my first death.

This is a really cool AI-powered civilization game. I love coming up with stories to answer my people's prayers. You nailed the feeling of playing God with this one.

Cool AI-powered murder mystery. I had some trouble with the interface, it was too zoomed in by default, so I had to zoom out with browser controls to play. Also, I like the music and sound effects, they're very important for a game like this.

Convincing robots to set you and your friend free is a cool game idea. I really like the interface and the space station setup you built, too

Really glad to hear the Player2 integration went smoothly for you. I spent a lot of time polishing this so it feels easy to start playing!
