Considering all circumstances, expect a fresh build to hit Itch Servers within the next week. Will also add some of the freshly build maps into the rotation as an apology for my long hiatus. :-)
Need to complete a flawless test run through the Demo first, though, to make sure there are no blatant bugs left over from the language refactor.

I haven't uploaded another build yet, since there's one persistent bug with the DirectX9-Subsystem, rooted in the compiler backend. Nothing I can do about, but still pretty confident that eventually it will be fixed. So, being honest here, I took that as an excuse for taking a break and pursuing other hobbies. And then there's also my daytime job, of course (working at a hospital) ...
Eventually I resumed working on it, regardless; finalising the credits as I am writing this. Will soon be posting updates on my Bluesky, however, the plan is to "reopen" with a Bang, as soon as I got some serious progress to show off. That's gonna be a first look at the Menu.

Lol, I can't believe I check this page everyday but hadn't noticed your reply, sorry! Still very hype though! I did beat the demo, many times, well, maybe a few handful, but it kicked my ass probably 1000 other times too. Thank you for all the effort you are putting in for this game! You are awesome!
This is REALLY helpful feedback. It means that I have succeeded in teaching the mechanics - some of them are definetely weird and stem from ancient design paradigms (which I carefully tried to fix, or at least mitigate, so they're a better fit for this century).
Most of my players come from the background, that they grew up in germany, having played the original KALAWAUM game from early 90s, and already knew their way around core mechanics.
