I don't understand how Dallan magic works, Tate simple enough just two things(maybe three) magic such as teleportation, levitation and lastly illusion... a very minor one since he can make a fire works. Aiden simple illusion and magic canceling and etc and clone making(I forgor what he meant). But Dallan sure he can make barrier, but he required a light source which he speaks out in the vn, but the weirdest for me is... what type of light source? Like... a literal light from the sun??? Or any light source such as lamp, candles and etc...
That’s a nice question and personally, I always viewed it as a solid mass of light that takes different shapes, kind of how the gems of Steven Universe take form.
Even though now I’m curious what if you turn a UV light on? does he’s barrier gain new properties or maybe they just turn purple. If there’s more light (Maybe from different sources IDK) do they get tougher? CAN DALLAN WORK AS A LIVING DISCO BALL? MOF PLZ?
THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN THINKING!!!! Like if Dallan uses a light source to make a barrier then would it be the reason why they consider him strong (Though in terms of physical capabilities it would be all on him) was because they were fighting him on the sun since all of their practice, training and many more. But what will happened if they fight him during the nighttime???
Consider that radiation from the body is a form of light, it doesn't have to be visible light, it's just energy manipulation! So I don't think the sun has effect on his magic.
If it exists, then it has energy on it and it can be extracted with this magic, light probably is just the easier thing to "extract" from and the easiest thing to produce since it's shapeless
