Re

Very cool long intro into the first section. I also like that melody in the latter part of the piece

Overall there's quite a bit of mid to lower frequencies in this track that make the mix a little muddy - reducing some of those and maybe increasing some higher frequencies could help add some clarity in this piece.

Cu

Good use of interesting sound effects throughout, although some of them might be a little loud especially in the first ~ 50 seconds. It might be worth lowering their volume, as they overpower the melody at times. Drums have a very cool rhythm going on and the bass compliments it nicely. It sounds like there's a little too much distortion on the kick drum that I'd probably reduce slightly, but that's more my personal taste.

Ra

I like the harmony in the intro a lot, and the out of time feel with the keys is a cool effect. Personally I'd want to adjust the balance between the instruments because the cymbals feel like they're too loud while everything else is a bit quiet.

Overall, very neat ideas that I think could be even better if some small changes were made in the mix. Thanks for sharing your music, and keep up the good work :)

Thank you very much a review!!! :3 I’m still learning(2nd week in garageband), so I was worried that things I wrote would be pure trash😅. I’ll try to fix sound and maybe re upload entry :3

Ayy another Garageband user!

So there's a couple things that you could try doing when you work with the audio in a mix after recording everything:

1) Arrange things strictly with volume and panning helped me get a better idea of where things should go that functionally makes sense. Example, melody typically is more prominent that sound effects or other parts that serve a textural function.

2) Garageband has a lot of pre-made settings for things like EQ that I'd suggest looking into and trying. Learning about where each instrument is located in the frequency spectrum helped me understand how to make different instruments resonate a little better. Choosing these settings that are already made in Garageband is a bit of a shortcut, and would probably best to not completely rely on them in the long term, but it might help you while you're still learning the whole mixing process. Plus, just as importantly, it'll help you understand what frequencies can be removed because they don't add any value to a particular instrument.

This is just my two cents of unsolicited advice lol that I've picked up over the years, but I hope this will give you some next steps as to how you can improve what you've done here.

Thank you for the advice, I’ll try them! I’ll also try to get my hands on e-guitar and something to connect it to my macbook. I’ve played guitar and synth keys for a few years before uni, was unable to bring them with me, so gonna get new one’s over time. So, getting used to managing tracks and mixing them will come in handy😅

I've relistened rn to my own work, as i finally got my ears back in healthy state and I guess my own work might've hurt me in the first place ;)
