Nice song, although I'd personally add a noise gate or maybe lowered a bit high frequencies in eq on guitar or maybe got chorus a bit reduced, it was a little ear punching for me, although it might be just my prefference.

Great job, anyway, keep up with it, also, really liked chord progression, simple, but gets the vibe and nice vocals :3

I have a demo, I called "Insomnia" your track suits more to that name, tbh. Also, I recognized almost all samples and midis used in it :D

Very cool work, I imagine it being part of a soundtrack of some game like undertale or simmilar and everyone putting it in their video, especially youtube storytelling animators :D

Although, track is a bit too loud for me even on lowest sound in my headphones... Guess they might be reason to my sound work result.

Just figured out I could probably also throw one more track in there, but unfortunately I made it before jam

I've relistened rn to my own work, as i finally got my ears back in healthy state and I guess my own work might've hurt me in the first place ;)

Yooo, such a great work, it reminds me in style and vibe to the Alt-J and Grandson a bit in the vocals especially. Probably one of the most well made song in this Jam :3

Thank you for the advice, I’ll try them! I’ll also try to get my hands on e-guitar and something to connect it to my macbook. I’ve played guitar and synth keys for a few years before uni, was unable to bring them with me, so gonna get new one’s over time. So, getting used to managing tracks and mixing them will come in handy😅

Thank you very much!!!! :33333 I’m happy you liked it, those are my first tracks that I was able to finalise into something listenable and stable :D

Thank you very much a review!!! :3 I’m still learning(2nd week in garageband), so I was worried that things I wrote would be pure trash😅. I’ll try to fix sound and maybe re upload entry :3

I’ve actually tried packaging it for web at first, but got some error during that I could not fix, cuz I wasnt getting anything on debug page for pygbag and so, was not able to find anything on it. Thank you for playing it and for offering help!!! ✨🐝✨

Although, I think I might go to libgdx for next thing(wanna make bullethell engine)🫠

nah, it might be just sounds not that great, maybe they just turned out to be a bit too harsh sounding

yeah, Im not that great with pixel art, acrylic is my best(although I arguably still suck at it). Tbh, looking at all other submissions Im not satisfied with my own and I was thinking on making teleport instead switching places with a rock instead of crushing them with ur own body. And like make it balance by cutting amount of consequent teleport before recharge that would be faster the closer u are to the black hole(that’s where WASD thing is from). But I havent got enough time to do it all, cuz of studies and me fighting pygame to make buttons work at least somehow(should’ve just give up on them tbh). Sounds are actually set quite low on the volume, like 0.2 at most as I remember, so not sure on that, tested on linux and mac, all seemed fine. It might be that I am on low volume usually, I dunno.

I think to redo this game in Godot or just in some statically typed language.
