lol, i guess that's one way to handle it. though that's some Saga level of small right there. LOL
btw for some real game bugs:
in early script (specifically new player intro, and rare occasion after that) Runa's bust description doesn't match her size, or maybe better said flip flops from one description to another.
also got a rare bug that i can't replicate that soft locked the game on me. it involved starting a new game, skipping the intro, and then right after choosing who you want as the first wife, the text box and UI utterly disappeared on me before it was supposed to. like how it does in the item menu to allow the player to see the character art. my best guess is that somehow playing with the fogwall triggered that feature. odd thing is i can't make it happen again. and quitting and restarting fixed it.
also random suggestions:
have the resource number boxes at top have a green/red +/- numbers next to them to signify your income and if your going negative on any resource.
the ability to build bridges instead of watermills.
the ability to build roads on wall sections, at the cost of enemy aggro possibly being directed to it.
a gallery feature accessible both in the main menu, and in-game menu.
I’ll look at those bugs, thanks! I’ll try to reproduce it, but re: that second bug, if it happens again, let me know if you’re able to fix it by pressing a mouse button since I have a feeling I know where the problem might be.

Yeah, I definitely want something like this, I have a few more information displays for some things that eat resources next version but they’re still behind menus and not as direct as that.

I’d like to put something together where building a road turns a wall into a gatehouse where travel is quicker but it’s got less building hp, and removing the road automatically converts it back, but i still need to think of how I’ll have the interface/graphics communicate that in a nice and simple way so it’s a somewhat lower priority

I want something cute and semi diagetic, like opening a menu where you can flirt with a given girl to get a selection of scenes to “replay”, even if the functionality is technically equivalent to just a menu I think the big strength of games like this is the context they add to just the drawings. Unfortunately prioritizing just writing more scenes might come first since I’m doing both writing and programming. :Y I think I’ll be able to spend more time working on the game and get some things done faster, fortunately.

when i got that new game soft lock bug nothing worked to get me out of it. not mouse moving or clicking, not keyboard (heck couldn't even move north/south/east/west with the camera), etc. total and complete soft lock. only thing that was 'working' was the fog graphics that were still moving and responding to the mouse movement. have yet to run into it again tho.
good to hear on the other stuff, and no worries if i don't see any of my suggestions in the next update. i just throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks.
new bug i found though:
a birth bug where wulf and one of the girls were stuck at the shrine permanently. i think it was caused by a combination of wulf being 0 stamina, enemies doing a raid, and me clicking 'view event' at probably very bad timing. oddly enough she was able to give birth... but somehow reverted back to being pregnant and halfway (4/5 months looking) in going by character art changes and descriptions. but both her and wulf are still stuck at the shrine and the cycle repeats. nothing i could do to free them either. not viewing the event again with the next kid(s), not any of the other ladies births, nothing. though i didn't try dismantling the shrine. so one short of nothing i guess. lol
