I must have broken something cause now I go to fight the bear again and when entering the arena the wolf cuts cutscene doesn't trigger so I have to run up to the bear and beat it up. It will start attacking back though after that. Also hate to say this but fighting the bear is super easy to get him confused and just beat him up.
