I'm going to try to keep this short and sweet. It was a great story, a wonderful concept, I do wish more questions were answered. There's too much cutting off dialogue and leaving things open for interpretation, that I can live with, however. The one thing that would prevent me from recommending this to others is the ending. It's abrupt. It comes out of nowhere. It's frustrating. 0 closure. You go through the whole game, the entirety of the story and it seems like it's all for nothing.
I am open to expanding the story, but I am afraid in this case the ending that was planned seemed right (to me) as far as resolutions go. Because given what MC discovered after they returned, they didn’t have a set drive anymore, which is something I wanted to convey, a sort of ‘might as well go with the flow,’ after everything that happened to them. Therefore, it didn’t feel appropriate for me to drag it further past the endings that were included in-game, without adding heavy branching.
I realize, since this is an interactive game, that the player might think differently. Unfortunately I am a bit limited in what I can and can’t account for (if I want to finish the game with a decade haha), but I will keep that in mind for my future projects, and I’ll try to plan them better.
That said, do let me know which questions you found to be unanswered (pdrrook@gmail.com), and I’ll try to tweak the script as best as I can to fill in the blanks.
