I checked your walkthough and it says his gf has a 20% chance to leave. I have spent 30 days waiting in the lounge and she never left. Either I'm doing something wrong or I have had the worst luck in rng.

At this stage, I left it as a random event, with a 20% chance of happening. So it could happen the next day, or it could take many days.
But if in your case it's taking 30 days or more... then it's either a case of very bad luck or for some reason the game has “frozen” on the option of her not leaving.
Many try to advance and go back in this scene to see if the result changes, but in this case, the first random result will remain valid for all subsequent times you go back and forth in the scene on that day.
You need to exit and come back another day to try again.
