The "inner conflict" system implies that the character has "doubts" about how they should "live their life." Through quests, you'll sway the character toward one side (we'll update the visuals a bit to make it clearer). The balance of this "slider" will affect the decision the character makes in the final quest and their personal individual ending when the game reaches its conclusion.

It's pretty hard to understand what each side actually means for the characters though. It would help a lot if you added a description on what each one means for the future/how it changes. Usually these types of systems are used for "love or corruption" paths, so it's hard to understand what exactly they mean. For some characters it can read like one side looks like a bad thing (Like Victoria's past/present, Grace's Truth/Friends) if that's not the case, it'd be nice to know what it means.

It's simply a system where you influence the character's future. How their life unfolds after the game's finale. There's no "bad" or "good" choice here—just your decision.
