I expected a sweet, fun little title from this, and for the most part that's exactly what I got. Then the reveal happened, and it made me simultaneously gasp and sob, in delight and sadness. I didn't expect to be hit by that whirlwind of emotions, but damn it landed - and it was delivered beautifully, set up to make you invested in the resolution, not given away too early but in hindsight clearly signposted once you know the answer too. Loved the characters' interactions, loved the art and the mini puzzles - just had a blast from start to finish!
(Absolutely devastated right now, but in a good way!)
