Satori helping with relationships is a fun concept! It's very natural and well written across the many characters, with plenty of variation to keep things interesting. Combined with the variety of character dialects, there's a lot of personality in the writing!

Everything comes together well thanks to the visuals. The 3D setting clashes in an actually really good way with the character art style, for one. I got a fun surprise when the ominous setting was immediately offset. ^.^

I noticed that the clock was in sync with my computer's time, which was a fun smaller detail.

As for the music, the radio was a fun solution. There are some default-volume + audio balancing issues, but the radio overall adds to the atmosphere well.

My favorite part is the fact that the game explores a variety of relationships. Suffice to say that regular couples' relationships aren't the only thing explored by a long shot.

Overall, this does a phenomenal job at covering the theme comprehensively. Thank you for making such a fun game!

I'm speechless...

The screenshots really called my attention from the beginning so I was saving this one for later and did it not only had a great time but I'm in shock!

I love how adding some few tweaks to a Visual Novel can give it so much life. The simple Walfas just approaching and leaving through a corridor in 3D, the ability to roam, even if it doesn't do much gives the place so much identity and the design reminds me so much to Grim Fandango which I adore. The day cycles and the quick but witty conversations with different characters just keeps your attention throughout the game and having to do calls even if it's just virtually box conversations just makes it feel so immersive and you get this sense of change in pace  so it's always captivating.

It made laugh several times, and I was engaged with the silly stories of every one. And the music selection really set the mood.

My Favorite Part: What did Rinnosuke implied!? D: The concept and excution of the game is something else. One of the most memorable games from a Jam I've ever played n.n

This game is by far the best written game in the jam I've played so far, all of the relationships in this game are fun/interesting you never can really guess what the person in front of you is going to say. The amount of twists too kept me on my feet through out the entire game and wanting to see what would come next.

The atmosphere too is impeccable, the palace of earth spirits feels so empty in just the way I've always imaged it being.

And the end actually felt me jaw dropped, I loved every single bit of this game.

❤️

I didn't expect the game with the silly walfas to be so complete and well written. I like that you can walk around even if you dont need to. Walking in the palace is kinda spooky too, with the endless darkness and static noise.

My only complaint is that nobody (except remi) ever answers your calls except on missions. Of course having everyone answer would be too much, take too long and be unreallistic  so i understand why its like this.

Thank you!

In early stages of the game you could actually call anyone at anytime, but the dialogues were generic and didn’t necessarily fit the characters’ personalities (and I wouldn’t have enough time to create personalized dialogues for everyone(◡ , ◡)), so I left them out.

That twist has me tempted to replay the entire game to see if I missed any points.

The framing device of multiple days of work for Satori is really cool. Having Remilia come in at the very start makes it very believable that Satori would forget her own advice. I also liked seeing different stories conclude at different times.

Thank you!

Game unexpectedly left a very big impression on me.

The counselor PoV is such a great idea. Having the clients visit regularly and talking about their progress, really feels I have impact on them.

Being allowed to freely roam feels really uh... "liberating"? It didn't have to be implemented, yet it's here. A whole 3D environment where you can look around and move (even if outside of the office is just halls to infinity - Which would win the Infinite Hotel prize: Eientei, or Chireiden?) It's kinda funny to see the walfas in the sober 3D environment, styles clashing will never not be funny.
And the couple silly things in here are cool extras: spinning on the chair, the clock set to your system's clock, the radio, calling Remilia for RPS.

Related to the environment is the sound design. Everything is ambient. The footsteps echoing, the clock ticks omnipresent, the loud clap of the book closing, the strident sounds of the telephone, the radio as the sole breaker of audible routine.
Somehow that sets the mood of being stuck and alone forever in this big, cold palace, it's so uncanny yet so cool and kinda real? Can you tell these sounds easily entered my mind?

And of course, the writing and character building - I did get to appreciate it greatly. Mostly the job going well enough, but also the mystery about why Satori is doing this in the first place
Like I said, I can really feel that what I say has impact on the clients. Seeing them come back and telling about their progress.
Also seeing the interactions with Remilia, and wondering about Satori's (apparently) conflicting feelings when she gets asked.
And then there's the ending. It all lead up to this, the very first dialogue choice I had made. Simply incredible.
