Thank you for playing!
I’m not sure how to get Mystia, when I catch a fish, the rod explodes and putting only one fish in the bucket didn’t seem to trigger anything
In hindsight, this is probably something I should’ve thought more about.
When you catch a fish, your held item gets ‘replaced’ by the fish, and the fishing rod drops onto the ground at your current position. But if you fish on the bridge or too close to the shore, the fishing rod (as it drops) can sometimes glitch and fall into the lake where you won’t be able to retrieve it.
Edit: Update 1.0.2 now allows you to pick up another fishing rod in case one gets lost
Thank you!
Though completing quests was a hassle since some of my items either despawned or override the other
I think held items should normally drop if a character gives you a new one, but with how messy the game’s code became by the end I may have missed or forgotten about something, so sorry about that -w-
Thank you for playing!
I did have trouble with some of the 3D interaction sequences, mainly the parts with the fishing rod and the bomb. On the Linux 1.0.1 version, the left-clicking simply wasn’t doing anything with the objects and I may have caused……
Not sure I understand; picking up items is done with left-click, but to “use” them (like the fishing rod or Nazrin’s camera) it’s right-click. Unless you mean that you created too many items and couldn’t pick them up anymore?
It is unfortunately quite janky and unpolished, but also kinda fun? Though the controls are so hard with drifting on brake and no reverse gear which makes any mistake unrecoverable, that I got frustrated fairly quickly. I also feel like the story race is impossible to beat, as Mokou gets some insane acceleration and turning at the last corner, even if you’re on par or ahead of her throughout the rest of the race.
I will give props to the actual tracks and environments; they’re pretty good apart from some collision issues here and there.
Here is my attempt:
Love the concept of Kokoro learning to express emotions for her beloved & the entire style of the game is very pleasant. Gameplay is simple and rewarding, though it doesn’t offer too much variety because of that. I found the audio department a bit lacking, with only 2 (if I heard correctly) songs throughout the game and a lack of sounds for things like buttons.
overall yip yip kokokoi 4/5
A little late comment, but I absolutely love the story. There are a few mistakes here and there, but it’s very… not sure how to express this, unique? atmospheric?
The (what I’m pretty sure) retrospections with the spirit blobs where the story gets a bit more poetic are really a great addition. And the ending illustration is super duper cute@@!!!
The Sekibanki seemed a little thrown in there out of the blue, but I enjoyed the it nonetheless.
You’ve also made me fall in love with a ship that I’ve never thought of before.
