Been quite awhile since I last played this. Back then there was only one level. Spritework is still nice, sheilds guys are still too fucking tanky. It is a disappointment that it does not matter where you shoot them, the design invites you to think that it does. On level 3 for now, the guns are all decent, though ammo is way too sparse. The textfiles are nice. Will continue to play and I am interested to see how the music system pans out.

Also, gotta add a sfx for ammo pickups.

Believe it or not - where you hit them *does* matter for damaging them. Evidently it's going to take more tweaking to make it feel less tedious.

Two-hit kill, if not aiming at the shield, with the gun. One hit kill with anything stronger. It will make shit easier, yes, but way more satisfying.

Oh, and this may not be new to you, but it was new to me: all of the plant sprites are great and gives a lot of cool gamefeel.

Right now the way the system is based on angles. So if you circle around the shield guys (or I think any enemy) then you'll do like twice as much damage compared to the front (which reduces it by I think 75%?). and thank you for complimenting the "plants". I wasn't sure how they'd look when I first commissioned them, but they really do spruce up the place.
