Thanks for the feedback but for now that's how it is.

It's what most Devs do and I think it's a fair way to compensate for the support, but don't worry, there will always be a free update here on itch.

I always say I don't mind paying here so the money is no problem, the exlusive is no problem either.

I just hate getting this big "hehe  can't play this, get the losers option", when I can't choose it anyway. I assume you understood already, but I wanted to say it once more.

I just don't want to see it if I can't pay for it here anyway I should say.

We don't have to talk more about it if you made your decision, that pet peeve will pass.

Hey decisions can change, I understand your frustration at seeing this "pay to play" option but how else do you think things should work in this case? Maybe a way to buy v0.02 here on itch would work or are you completely denyingthis update "sale"? (English is not my main language so it was a bit difficult to understand.)

If that is your question, no i have no problem with paying.

I don't understand itch.io well enough to know what you could do, but I suppose a better version for a price could be a solution I suppose.

(English is not my main language so it was a bit difficult to understand.)  Good to know, that's exactly why I might mess up here and there.

or are you completely denyingthis update "sale"?  (If I undertand you correctly, no that would be okay in my eyes.)

If I like a game enough, I accept to pay for it, or for a better version.

Understood, I will add it in the next updates.

Okay then I have one last question, so 1 free version with less stuff and an aditional one with extra stuff?

Just make sure to mention it if you have some aditional idea about it, i don't want another situation where i decite to pay without knowing there will always be another game version that I have to pay again.

Like in the situation i had where version 9 existed which I bought, then 10 and 11 got released, all extra games and suddenly 9 was gone.

Okay I say we stop I am a bit distracted, I have to see where this goes now anyway. I may sound idk  angry? here and there,  but I will forget it just as fast when it looks like it.

Only do it when you want to, I gave it a try now and I think I noticed I will have to get back to it once a few updates happened now. Just thought I should mention that I wait a while.

Itch is designed for "early access" among other things. If you sell here people would expect to buy it for the price you would sell the finished game, but get it early while in development. Maybe even with a discount.

Patreon is straightforward support. Similar to a long lasting kickstarter, but the benefit is to get extras along the way. The easiest extra is to get the working development snapshot a month earlier.

Some developers try to sell their unfinished game version for version with the lame excuse that it would cost that much on their subscription service. One can even argue, that it is an alternative for people that cannot or will not use services like Patreon.

Please do not delete your game and upload a new version as a new game. You will disrupt all collections your game was put on.

Thanks for the comment, it was enlightening and I completely understood.

And don't worry, I won't delete this version to repost again!
