A lovely little game can feel the emotion put into this one loved this little experience :)
That was beautiful Sam, thanks for sharing it with us.
Thanks man, Appreciate it
As Pyroglyph said below, this was an excellent retelling of an emotional story you went through. The ambiance is perfect. The puzzles drive home the points well, although when she said “give me some space,” I interpreted it as needing to press the spacebar over and over. That one was on me.
In any case, this one was great. And I’m very sorry that this happened to you.
Just to be clear, this was not an experience I went through, but of a very good friend that ended up getting badly hurt. She's fine now, and she was okay with me making this game, so huge thanks to her as well. And thanks for the kind words! Sorry if there was any confusion, I wanted the controls to be minimal as possible!
There wasn’t any confusion, that was just me running on fumes.
You can tell this came from the heart.
I have no idea if it was intentional, but I liked how you have to walk into the shadow just before the end, very symbolic.
Plus, the mirror puzzle reminded me of Celeste, which is another win in my book. Great stuff :)
Thanks for the kind words :)
Yeah, it was supposed to be a symbolism of how you can get consumed by the very thing that kept you safe if you kept dwelling on your past forever instead of moving on. And yeah the game was heavily inspired by celeste's narrative. I'm glad someone picked up on it <3
Really great, very melancholic. Story telling was really concise and impactful.
Thank you <3
Wow, now that's storytelling! This game is a true journey into the inner self. The perfect choice of music, the unexpected elements, and the evolution of the narrative made it a complete experience, although we might be far from the 'crappy game' theme. But who cares? As announced, the puzzles aren't very elaborate, but the feeling of a personal life event makes it deeply authentic.
Yeah I think I tried a little too hard. But I wanted to tell a story the best way I could, and I thought this was my best bet. Glad you liked it
Phenomenal work! Certainly a solid candidate for a win.
Thanks :)
