I think that somehow the flower copied the targets score 

Edit: I started another run and took advantage of this, and at some point it went back to normal. I'd guess, as someone who has little game design experience,  that you forgot to only check flower pegs when seeing if there were any flowers with a higher score. Also,  somewhat unrelated, the value of my flower pegs in that run all stopped increasing at 1180 or 1170, and I had all of my flower pegs (most of the pegs I had) stop increasing at one of those two numbers

ok I was so sure it was impossible for the flower to copy other pegs but looking at the code you and the other commenter were completely right the flower straight up doesnt check if if the other pegs are flowers 😭
