I really liked the vibes! It felt very much like a late night drive with friends in trying to keep up with the conversation while also staying alert. I also really liked that the character talking had a light on them. I find it hard keeping track of everyones names in games so between that and the characters distinct voices in their dialogue really helped. The character designs were also well made. Being able to resume from certain parts was an excellent touch. Not having to replay everything is always a bonus with games you can die in or get an ending partway through. Very thoughtful.
As others have said the dialogue does seem to drag a bit. I appreciate being able to control the car as that adds a level of engagement. And the dialogue does succeed in adding to the characterization of everyone, but it still feels like there needed to be a bit more something to it. Maybe having the choices effect things a bit more or a scene where you can get out of the car at a stop to walk around? Or maybe letting the player part way through be able to choose something to add to the dashboard. Even just a small change of pace to make it feel more engaging and keep the player invested given the length of the dialogue that needs to take place.
I crashed the car at the start to see what would happen and the whole rest of the game I was really worried I'd kill everyone and trying not to lol. I actually stopped the car a moment before I hit the animal so the car was already stopped a safe distance away from it when everyone started freaking out.
All in all though it was a good experience and I really enjoyed it!
