(un)luckily, I found another game that isn't compatible with my mac so i can show you the difference between the two. The second image is another game, when a game is not functionable on my mac the application itself has a gray circular cross symbol on it, while this game simply says it can't be opened and has an.. odd symbol as a placeholder for the logo
I see! This is quite strange. I have recompiled and uploaded a new build for Mac. There may have been some kind of corruption issue.
this is pretty embarrassing to say.. but the game still won't open on my mac, nonetheless I'm really thankful for you trying to fix the issue and taking time out of your day to respond to me, I'll resort to downloading this on my phone instead haha
