there's a shit ton of fem only otome games, there's so many that it's insanely difficult to find even a gender neutral one, if being unable to fully enjoy *one* game because of a male protagonist, imagine how guys feel trying to find *anything* with masc pronouns. I know you don't mean to criticise but it just feels like a jab lololol/respectfully

(un)luckily, I found another game that isn't compatible with my mac so i can show you the difference between the two. The second image is another game, when a game is not functionable on my mac the application itself has a gray circular cross symbol on it, while this game simply says it can't be opened and has an.. odd symbol as a placeholder for the logo

I've never had a problem with most ren'py games before , so no it's not an error log and I've played a lot of visual novels, my anti-virus never really flags them as threats but it won't open at all when I click on it which is quite weird. There are some games that are just not compatible with my mac but I'm pretty sure it had a different message in those cases when i was just unable to expand the zip, I can't tell what the problem is.
I'll be honest, I'm usually quite picky with playing visual novels and usually quit midway through if the plot line is dull, I personally thought this would be similar in that aspect nonetheless I was curious by the name and played it blind without reading anything and I must say, as someone who has played over dozens of visual novels, I think this is definitely one of my favorites. Firstly, I like the atmospheric vibe of the story, it all feels lively and comfortable to play. The art is appealing and especially nice to look at. I like how despite having a set storyline and no options that the player can make, the characters still come off as entertaining. Cecil, despite being a young, naive and awfully blunt child still wants to be a gentleman to the people around him. The rash and impulsive decisions he makes could be rather reckless but at the same time, makes a lot of sense considering his young age. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and I definitely recommend, I only wish we had more context on Nemo and Ambrose's relationship(especially because Ambrose is my favorite) and we could see more intimate moments between the two of them lolol
Very sorry with the late reply, I'm glad you took time to reply to this! I'm actually a big fan of Fahrenheit 451 too, nowadays though it's much less popular in comparison to back then sadly. However I haven't yet read Anthem; I'll put it on my list! In all honesty, I couldn't think how exactly they could ever meet a better end, I think it was very fitting so don't dwell on it much dear. I'm a very picky person yes, but I think the idea of not being able to save and go back to make a different choice too is a very interesting concept, it's just hard to enjoy most the times because in other games I see, you usually miss out on a lot. The only parts of not having the ability to save is that you always have to start right back at the beginning which makes it a bit tough to guide through. If you ever do make another game, I would like that too, but even if it doesn't have a save I'm still playing it because your writing is FIRE. Have you had a lot of experience in the writing field? I haven't felt this immersed in a story in a long time.
P.S apologies if the long barrage of text is overwhelming! Hello to a fellow fan!!:D
I LOVE THIS STTORY SO MUCCCCH!! i kind of just KNEW something bad was gonna happen but i didn't think it was BOTH.. Ughhh it makes me so ssaaaaadddd.. Anyways, just wanted to say, I really adore how well written this game is, I usually never even think to click any IF without a save function because it just usually pisses me off but this one was just TOO good.. I had such a hard time choosing on if i should romance lion or robin(chose robin) because they were just both genuinely so interesting, i wish we had poly routes but i still really think the game is just amazinG
I absolutely loved it. I never quite play interactive fiction games of this sort, i usually get sick of it real fast but I binged nine chapters in just a single day which is quite impressive, all of the love interests are really well written which it hard for me to choose just who i want to romance first, however; though this might be a bug on my part.. Though I did have multiple save points, none of them loaded the next day and so I have to restart from the beginning:( I wonder if this is because I’m playing on browser? But from my knowledge there’s no way to download it.. Anyways! This was a VERY fun game and I really hope it won’t be discontinued<3
Thank you! I was definitely not going to be interested in playing this game had it included ai images. If you can't afford it, there's no need to add it. Ai "art" is in no way a form of art. For, a robot cannot truly ever replicate human emotions and hardwork. However, there are quite a lot of people nowadays who draw great art with low expense commissions. So if you ever think you have the time or money for that, maybe you can contact an professional
