How did you implement the theme?
The whale is the map of the game, you have to connect puzzle-shaped circuits in each part of the whale.
How did you add the special object?
I focused mainly on the special item, basically everything in the game is based around it

couldn't complete the last level because of the speed but i tried
nice game, i like the puzzles
also apparently you can do that
and also that
Thanks for playing! In some levels like 6 or 9 there is a small margin of error or alternative paths that are slightly more efficient and I decided to leave them intentionally so that the difficulty of the game is not excessive.
I was a little sad when I figured out you can loop back on yourself, feels a little cheaty but it makes levels a lot easier cuz you just 'go' towards each target without having to think much. The only issue I had was the cable moving was slightly difficult to control, I kept turning either a little early or a little late and dying from it (which could 100% be a skill issue lmao), would be nice to know when theres a 'window' to turn at any specific square, maybe could let the player move one square at a time? (as an accessibility option). Otherwise cool game! nice art, really good puzzles (with the handicap that you can't go over yourself)
I know what you're talking about the "cheaty" of looping back on yourself but is completely deliberate to make levels easiers for people who don't want hard puzzles. For people who do want them, there is the additional challenge of not going overboard with yourself that makes the game a lot harder. And yes, it wouldn't be bad at all to add that window that makes it clearer to the player how to turn... but limitations of the gamejam haha. Thanks for the feedback :)
Took me until level 13 to realize I could actually loop back on myself haha whoops... at least it counted for a challenge.
A running theme with some of these Godot games is the text font is way way too small on my screen, not sure why that is but I couldn't read some of the text after the level ended.
The background music is a mood and I played through the whole thing so overall pretty nice!
The background music was a little bit silent but soo relaxxing. Having everything unlocked right from the beginning was probably a smart move for a jam game. It actually felt like snake with some extra steps ;)
it was difficult but fun)
Polished and fun implementation of the theme based on Snake. I like the map especially
