Hi, I use raylib + c++ to code. Here is my itch profile: https://chugget.itch.io/ I'm looking for:

  1. Testers - to help test the game loop & provide gameplay feedback, shaping the prototype together,
  2. 2D artist,

Please dm me on discord (@chugget).

Yes, it was meant to be a clicker game. The tooltips were distracting, and the info was a bit lacking, yeah. Gotta update after the rating period ends. Thank you for playing.

Thanks for playing. Yeah the progression needs a fix. I'll be working on that

Wow I'm flattered you went so far! I added the main menu achievement as an afterthought, never thought anyone would actually try to get it. Haha. I'll work on fixing the achievement menu tooltips and the progression next.

Thank you!!

Thanks Sorry to hear you experienced lag. I'm not sure I can help with that, given the limitations of a web build.

Thanks Understood, I'll be working on an update to make the progress smoother.

Hey Daethall, thanks for playing the game! I'm sorry to hear you experienced some performance issues. I wish I could help you with it, but with the web version the amount of debugging I can do is limited. As for the progression, multiple people have mentioned that it needs some work. An update is planned with some QOL features after the game jam's rating period is over. Stay tuned!
So glad to hear you enjoyed it.

good to hear! Is you experience any other issues feel free to let me know here or in the discord, accessible from main menu

Hi! Thanks. That looks like a wasm-related error. I've never seen it before, though. Are you using an older version of Firefox? Have you tried with another browser by any chance?

ouch. Sorry to hear that. If you’re interested in fixing it, could you go into the firefox menu - more tools - developer console and let me know if you see any error messages in red? Let me see what I can do for you.

The swimming mechanic is very satisfying. The pitch going up when you swim is a fine touch.

Loved the polish so much.

Love the vibe of this. Also selling the fat feels gruesome in a fun way haha.

Lovely art. The bullets seem a little hard to avoid, maybe that's just my old fingers

ok, wasn't expecting horror. Haha. This is great, the graphics really fit the vibe and the music adds to the scary mood. Great job.

The whale doesn't seem to move for me. The arrow flies randomly about. Is this intentional? Anyway I love the presentation!

The battles seem to end before anyone is dead. The whale is really cute

I like how the scenes are put together, and the art style is charming, but the gameplay seems a little confusing to me. The text feels a little hard to read.

A fellow raylib user! I liked the gameplay but the mouse clicking gets hard after a while. And i died mysteriously on the upgrade screen?

Intuitive gameplay. The dialogue seems well-implemented!

Love the art style. Am I supposed to hold down while pressing up? Takes a little finger wizardry I guess haha

Player controller is really tight. And the bullets seem to push you back? Neat implementation!

Polished and fun implementation of the theme based on Snake. I like the map especially

I really appreciate the effort to make the gameplay as accessible as possible with the in-game help text and the tooltips!

The premise has potential I think! A bit of interactive juice would have really added to it. Great job!

Love the music and the vibes.

Hey, it shows a small black screen when it's loading, but after that it works ok. I'm on Firefox as well.

Hey thanks but our team is complete. If you want, you can help test, but we already have people for sound.

Hi, I’m a dev who uses raylib. I’d like the help of some testers who will help with the design process by testing the game loop, etc. Also I need someone who can do music and/or sfx. Would love to partner up. Hit me up please! My itch page: https://chugget.itch.io/

Yeah this is a known bug. It will bug out if you switch tabs/navigate away entirely. Curiously, it seems to work if you keep it running as the active tab but use a different window for other stuff

Thanks for the kind words! Made my day

hey thank you for playing! Yes, I do think that in hindsight, the gameplay could have been better explained and benefited from graphics

Hey first off, thanks for playing! I'll try to make the screen size adjustable or take different sizes into account next time. I'll have to work on making my games a little easier to play as well, and as you said, perhaps skippable. Thanks!

Gameplay was very easy! I thought it was great it was so intuitive. A bit of challenge might have been nice!

Gameplay was intuitive, didn't need to look at the instructions at all!

The dev says it's scuffed, I don't believe him haha

The visuals are pretty great. I like the scuffed look of the instructions and the way the dancers move. The controls were a bit obscure, though! Perhaps an interactive tutorial might have helped.

The animations feel pretty smooth. Quite a difficult one, though.

I liked the arrow enemy haha
