A nice, simple yet effective, game with a solid gameplay loop and solid sound design. The gameplay has some potential to be extended with some rogue-lite elements in future imo.

The controls were easy to use (played on mouse and keyboard), The character designs and simple lighting work well for a N64 feel, although the trees and some spider-ghosts fell a little bit outside of that style.

I really liked the inclusion of the NPC at the start to explain the premise to the player, its inclusion helped massively with the immersion!

I only managed to find 4 out of the 5 ghosts by the start of layer 30, where a spider proceeded to maul me on arrival, but I may have missed it after filming spiders for 10 layers straight.

One design note is the distance gauge, I felt like it was giving too much information, making it too easy to know when i needed to start looking out for ghosts, a system that gives a more indirect reading, like an EMF reading or something similar could have added a lot more suspense, but overall, a really cool game!
