Reading through the pdf, I'm liking it, but I think it would really benefit from an example fight? Specifically I don't really get pilot stats: since I haven't found anything about how your stats might interact with/counter your opponent's, it seems like only your stats ever matter, so it's unclear why you wouldn't always set your stats to an extreme (either 2 or 5) and always use these ones in your strategy (bar narrative reasons, I suppose)? For the same reason I don't really understand the Holo Decoy advantage: while changing which of your mech's stats you rely on is useful, since they get lowered during the fight, changing which of yout pilot's stats you use seems useless. And how many stats does a strategy consist of?

Thank you for your input. I guess the combat chapter does need more work.
As for the stats, it's more of a style issue, really. The stats help flesh out your pilot as much as they matter mechanically, if not more. Since the only thing you get out of using the weaker stat is Fame, you can indeed always use one of the high stats, if you wish. Since they are what your character favors, that makes sense from a roleplaying perspective. The stats don't interact as such, you only count successes at the end, so which one you use is entirely up to you. The Holo Decoy is a bit of a trick. You lead with a weak strategy, to get your opponent to do the same, thinking they can make a quick point of Fame, then switch to a stronger one and wipe the floor with them. At least that's the idea. A strategy always uses one TItan stat and one pilot stat.
Thank you again, I will clarify that.
