An thus I defeated the rival king.
I think I faced a bug at some point as the horse got stuck looking left and I could only turn left from there, I went on anyway as because you don't have to follow the road then I still managed to defeat all the knights by doing 360°s.
The game is fun and I agree there was definitely an effort to make it feel like a NES game even if it wouldn't have looked exactly like that. The different tunes are very nice and fitting.
