I defeated the dragon and rescued the princess, died once against the dragon. I had upgraded only my Mana, twice, and kind of bruteforced through the boss fight although I navigated through the flames a bit too.
I had fun playing the game, rushing through hordes of enemies while defeating small groups to gain some experience and the boss fight is a cool one too.
