Thanks for the insightful suggestions! We're sorry about the bug. We do have an inkling of what might causing it, so the fact we can't try and fix it due to grace period ended bugs me off. A lot of oversight happens as we didn't have time for a full-blown testing phase due to a disastrous 2nd week, lesson learnt.
