This is a perfect take on the genre. I didn’t usually play RTS games, but I enjoyed this one as it reminded me of some games I played before. I would make the difficulty for the starting levels much lower, so you don’t need to push buggies constantly. It’s hard to explore all the game mechanics while your only concern is survival. Please also consider unlocking buildings gradually in the levels, not only in the tutorial. It always feels delightful when you can complete a level with the set of the first two buildings/units and thus get a grasp on how they work together before proceeding to more advanced combos.

I planned a campaign where units/buildings are gradually unlocked. But that is a lot of work and will take some time to complete. Your suggestion to have also some unlock mechanic for the AI-matches is a great idea. I will implement that for the next update!
I will also think about a bot that gives more room for experimentation. Maybe one that stays passive until attacked...
