Definitely gonna be keeping that one, Lily's so damn beautiful. Glad to hear it's been smooth sailing thus far post release, hopefully it stays that way. So far as the Trial of Might, maybe smarter characters could revisit one of the ideas discussed on the Discord server, that of of stat boosting or transformative potions? Could also be an opportunity for players that learned the animal shape spell to use a more combat focused creature form similar to a D&D druid's wildshape.

They could always skip book-day and attend leg-day.

I had a different idea, but now that you mention it. "Preparations" might be something to keep in mind. Doesn't really need to be Knowledge related, but maybe it is worth the effort to consider the option of allowing the players to spend some time preparing specifically for the Trial. Be it potions or research. To lower the difficulty a bit. Hmmm...

I could see that working out nicely, kinda like in Goblet of Fire where half the challenge was finding out what the next event was and preparing for it. Stuff like the gillyweed and Krum's shark Animagus form for the lake event were a fairly big inspiration for what I was thinking of.

To be fair that's the thing I definitely would want to avoid. "Having to figure out the event". Not just because that's unfair. But also because of how volatile it makes the whole thing. Just imagine what would that lake even be if one of the players didn't prepare a "breathing underwater magic"?! What if no one did??!! What if none of them opened the egg and was like "what are we supposed to do here in front of this lake?"

That would be a very awkward day.

Yeah, having each event be a mystery would suck majorly in-game, meant moreso about making preparations like the aforementioned methods, as well as stuff like Cedric's Bubblehead charm.
