As it is, there are a few small things that can be done to make it nicer and smoother.

With regards to expanding the game, I still don't have many ideas, I am considering going for a level based approach with each level having different hazards, more hazards or different combinations, and maybe looking at giving an optional progression for resistances with dna as the currency.  Though I'm still not sure as ti's game was only really made for the jam, and made to be self contained, so any expansion would dramatically change the game as I currently see it.
