Before posting, I read this response to a number of similar queries. I also searched for the 'rules of this category' but could not find them. If there is a link to the 'rules of this category', I would appreciate it. Note that the only reason I am posting here is because the support system has failed to address this issue.

They're the first thing you see when you click New Topic. You have to scroll past them before you can write your post. Then you have to tick a checkbox to confirm you've read them. You can also see them any time at the top of the category, helpfully labeled "View this community's rules…" Hope this helps.
I read through the bullet points of those rules before I posted to see if any applied. I did not see any that did, but I did see:
'Please do not create topics asking how long it will take for support to reply to you'
But this wasn't my question.
However, on second reading I can see that it says ' If you still need to make a topic about a Support Request, you must include your ticket ID with your message.'
I can only assume that this is what you are referring to. I would suggest that if this was given its own bullet point, people would not miss it as often as they clearly do.
Anyway, I'm sure your work here is somewhat thankless, so I appreciate your efforts.
My ticket ID is 279820.
