I appreciate the notes! I tried to pick an art style that matched the "lore" of the game, so I'm glad that came across.
Hehe, yeah... the slimes aren't meant to boomerang violently around corners, but it DID make them a little harder (and get me to laugh pretty hard), so I kept it in for the time being. The game really is still too easy though. ^^"
I was considering locking the room, but it made the game feel tedious and like a slog to get to the stairs. I wanted to make the game fun first and challenging later, so a lot of difficulty got lost in translation. Maybe future development can iron that out. I'll definitely take into account de-activating the enemies until their room is entered, though.
After the jam ends, I think I'll try working on a more polished and feature complete version, and I'll take this feedback into account. Thanks!
