What an interesting concept and a real retro feel to this game. Feels like you are onto something here but could do with perhaps the plane being on the move all the time and not stopping.
The fire on the plane when it is damaged is very cool. For me personally, the difficulty spikes a bit too much when going into the clouds, particularly the other planes are really hard to avoid. If you developed this further suggest a more gradual difficulty increase.
