I bought this bundle, but the Humble advertisement did not mention the assets do not have permission in Crypto/NFT games.

Does this mean I cannot use the assets I purchased?...

Respectfully, why do you not allow games utilizing crypto/nft to use your assets?

Digital asset ownership via blockchain is the future of gaming, so most/all devs will not be able to use your assets soon. I have not started using any of the music or art files yet, so I rather know now than later, but please give more support to us indie blockchain devs 🙏❤️‍🔥

Hey Nebula_Matrix, The main reason is that many crypto games involve selling the artwork included in the game whether it’s characters, items, or other assets. While you’re licensed to use the assets in your games (including commercial projects), you don’t own the copyrights to the artwork, so you’re not allowed to sell or redistribute them.

Also, since many crypto games involve financial risk where players can win or lose money/crypto, I prefer not to have my work associated with that space. I hope you understand! (:

You might have misunderstood my intentions with the tilesets and 2d assets. If a game studio would only be using the tilesets, characters and bosses for the maps and worlds, not selling them as NFTs or linking your assets to any sort of staking or revenue share, does that mean the studio can utilize the commercial license and populate game scenes with the tilesets or use the characters and bosses?

Or are you saying that since the game has utility tokens and/or NFTs created from different artwork it cannot be used?

It just seems kinda harsh to not let any crypto games use your assets, especially if web3 devs are not turning your assets into NFTs.

I will not be using your assets though, would just be opening myself to lawsuits, but I find it really rude of you to not think of web3 devs and I will let other web3 dev communities on discord know not to buy your stuff because they can be sued. Hope you understand!
