Pretty fun cozy game with a neat little world, good job team! I really liked the layout of the level, I think you nailed the sense of scale for a fly buzzing around the world and there were lots of cool little spots to buzz around to and take the scenery in. The story is cute I was found myself invested in both the fly and Flowy characters; when Flowy gives his petal to the fly to fix his wing it was a really nice moment and I thought it was great how the new wing was modeled onto the fly. The music is good too but maybe could be a little more cozy and a little less epic. The string mechanic to build bridges was pretty cool and I appreciated the little particle effect hinting where to connect to, but I wish it was a bit more forgiving with room on the side to avoid falling off. The fly feels great to control when not weighted down and I thought everything was very well-modeled and consistent. I didn't love losing my ability to fly while weighed down because the buzzing around the room was very fun and the best part of the game to me, and found not being able to do so frustrating and meh. Overall, fun game and great work everybody!!!
First off, thanks for the game—I played right through to the end.
Gameplay
I’m not really a 3-D-platformer person. Missing a jump felt pretty harsh: on the last level I kept sliding off the door-handle platform and had to trek the whole route again (and then once more for the fertiliser).
Liked how the new mechanics showed up bit by bit—easy to follow.
The stamina bar puzzled me; it just made me wait a few seconds here and there.
Flying felt nice and the little path-finding sections were fun to solve.
Narrative
Most of the play time was the “water + fertiliser → wing fix” loop. This does not develop story for me in any way.
The idea of a wounded fly and a lonely flower is cool, but their bond stayed a bit fuzzy. The flower dies, then the fly dies right after, and I wasn’t sure what the story wanted me to feel besides “everything is sad.”
The ending left me empty rather than reflective. I couldn’t quite catch the bigger message.
That’s just how it came across to me; hope the feedback helps.
Fun! I love flying in games and you implemented it pretty well, which is great. I liked the Flowy art. Agreeing with Daln on the sink issue, had to cheese it a bit to get out. Overall thought this is really nice, well done.
Fun game. Jump height while carrying water feels slightly too low, it's really difficult to get out of the sink. The camera also starts drifting off sometimes. But those aren't really serious problems with the game. Game good.
Also has a nice story, so thumbs up for that.
Very fun game, great job!
Fun game and good work :D
