Out of curiosity, what current OS do you have on your desktop?

Although there's no Linux binaries for Decker on the itch page it is pretty easy to build from source if you want to use it, that's what I do for when I need it on Linux.

(1 edit)

The main OS is Linux (Ubuntu) with an external hard drive running Windows (it was removed from a laptop that had screen issues some years back that has yet to be replaced or properly inspected). Decker plays pretty well with Wine from my experience.

(Quick edit to add that I started the project on the Linux drive, and earlier today I wanted to play the Sims so it was running the Windows drive. The Windows side doesn’t read the Linux drive for some reason so I switch drives on boot if I need to)

Even if it works well in Wine you may get better results running it natively. There's instructions on the github page about compiling from source and it is pretty straightforward https://github.com/JohnEarnest/Decker

Also if you build Decker from source you're allowed to call yourself an official Decker sourceror(tm) and paste this badge into your projects, if you want to:
